. I have had a lifelong interest in the study of religion. I completed a Masters Degree in Religion and Culture where my particular interests included the Sacred Feminine in art and archetype with an emphasis on ritual creation and innovation. An interest in Asian religions (35 years) led to the study of Zen Buddhism with Ven. Samu Sunim at the Zen Buddhist Temple in Toronto Ontario Canada. A deep interest in Tibetan Buddhism developed and I was involved for many years at the Riwoche Buddhist Temple, where I became a student of Khenpo SonamTobgyal Rinpoche. In 1998 I received monastic vows as a novice under the direction of HH Penor Rinpoche. After my ordination I travelled to Nepal and India and visited the five sacred Buddhist sites. I lived for a time at Gampo Abbey in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia under the direction of Ane Pema Chodron and Ane Migme, where I learned more about the monastic tradition as it is developing in the West. In 2004 I returned to lay life but have continued to practice and study Vajrayana Buddhism. My current teacher is Ven. James Low, His root teacher was Chime Rigdzin (C.R.Lama) of the Khodong Nyingma lineage .
It is through the mentorship and encouragement of my current teacher that I have decided to begin teaching basic Buddhist meditation to my local community.
Through offering monthly meditation instruction, we create opportunities to explore our creativity and spirituality together. A rich, inclusive and supportive community can be built to benefit all who participate and all those we meet.
When a person attains realization, it is like a moon on water. The moon never becomes wet; the water is never disturbed. Although the moon is a vast and great light, it is reflected in a drop of water. The whole moon and even the whole sky are reflected in a drop of dew on a blade of grass.
